Learn Java, and learn HTML with friends (CSS, JavaScript, PHP) on the side. Backend is what the user doesn't see. I think Java can do backends for websites.

Yeah, Java is your safe bet. it is in a lot of things and is a pretty universal coding language. The only thing I have to say is stick with one for a while. It took me a long while to understand half of the code I was looking at because I was flip flopping around. You can find IDEs that will have the tools you want if you are trying to do web or mobile or desktop after you have one to work in. One tip on IDEs look at others using it. if it doesn't look like what you want you may need to find another language or IDE.

Hello That is good, always believe in yourself :D if you don't believe you will achieve nothing. I personally am interested in making games with the game engine Unity which I am learning C# and C++ (first C++, I was told elsewhere that learning C++ will make learning c# simple.) Also I know someone who is making websites as a job. they use HTML and CSS though they don't use Java. From my knowledge I'd say HTML and CSS is definitely worth learning though you'd be better listening to Ahri Fox. If you ever need encouragement or suggestion feel free to ask :D Have a nice day

A IDE is a integrated development environment, like Unity has in it or Visual Studio or Processing. It is something that you build your program in. You have a one on here if you very tried anyone's code or looked at examples in the lesson.
