Need Help deciding what programming language to use?

I have recently designed a idea for a mobile game that will be and 2d rpg game with a main game play style similar to old school gba zelda, fire emblem, etc.

Well It will not be easy.

If this is your first project, it WILL take a long time depending on how motivated you are.

Seems like a yes.

You will need to pick a platform.

IOS or Android

for IOS you would need swift or use xamarin( c++ or c# - mostly C#).
for Android java or xamarin again.

I suggest Java for android.

for graphics draw are make pixel art.

The challenge create a code that syncs the game code with the graphic art and hope people like it.
