I have experience with it. I don't have waterfall methodology experience so I can't speak on that but having done agile scrum, the entirety of it based on my experience is just having endless meetings about matters that slow down the process so the head of the teams can understand which point in the development cycle each of the team members are and what's left to complete. It's super monotonous and super boring. Especially when hearing the heads who know nothing about coding start brainstorming their bad ideas. The pros of this are that you can knock out chunks of the project in a predefined time limit and have time for doing extra remediation, refactoring some buggy code ( but keep the original as a backup in case you get a surprise meeting and you have to have something that works to show off) and being able to take on someone else's chunk (either to help them speed up dev time or to handle what they can't - such as if an employee gets laid off and their chunk is left behind or if you want to have bragging rights for that promotion later on). Good luck and despite my negatives with it, I still use it even in my own projects just to keep me sane when the project gets oversized due to scope creep.

we are transforming our development team to scrum and I would like to know is it actually better than waterfall. The quality and time to market is really faster than oldstyle one.The mood in the team is also more happy inspite of daily scrum meetings and pernament checking of current status :))) thanks

Exhausting explenation Xpl0it;) I appreciate you share your opinion and experience. I understand that the daily meetings are so boring but It shoud have its own benefit to do project more easily and also it can help to other people in the team. If there is no any benefit there is no need to do any more and save your time for better code. We are pushing to use scum and there is no another way ;)
