The best of the best is without doubt PyCharm from Jetbrains company. There's two versions, the community and professional one. For learning and Scientific uses with pure python, the community edition do the trick, you have autocomplete, the possibility to create your virtual environments and a whole bunch of other save life functionalities. If you're using Django to develop Web Applications you might think to purchase a licence for the professional edition, if you're a student you can ask Jetbrains a free licence of one year that they'll gladly send to you.
