Is Java the best option to learn for a OOP beginner ?

I have a good knowledge on C. It is a procedure oriented language. I want to learn more programming languages. So I thought to learn an OOP language after C. That's why I enroll in solo learn java tutorial. It seems a good course. But there are several other solo learn courses for other languages. So is my selection is good? Please state your opinions.

if you have good knowledge of C, why don't you give c++ a try? but you are doing nothing wrong with java either and will pick it up faster than python.
