C++ vs. Visual C++

Question

What is the difference? When I first started sololearn I told my csci instructor I showed my instructor the app, he stated that what I was learning was great material even considered adding it to his c++ course , but it would not help with the visual concept. So where do visuals and gui come into play with c++.

Visual C++ is C++ with Microsoft GUI API and libraries .

I'd leave HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to the visual, but that's just my opinion.
