should a web developer know all css syntax by heart?

I am willing to learn this. is this realistic and worth the effory for a (part time) web developer?

I don't think so. Just get the sense of all the tags about what they do is enough no need learn the spellings and the exact tag because even the advanced code editiors suggest the tags within the code.

You need to know most of it so you can style your pages. If you know it all you have more passabilitys.
