I'm wondering what are the trends for the most popular languages in the next couple of years.

Hello, Community! I used to work as a Web developer. However for the past 10 years due to certain other issues I abandoned it at all. I was pursuing other things and lost grip on the programming world. It has quickly changed during those years. I want to get back to it but don't know which language would be worth learning now. What do you think, guys? It doesn't have to be a Web language. Any suggestions?

Lots of languages are great for a lot of things, it depends on what you want to do with it. Some would say that Python is a good choice, but it is really not a good language for a lot of reasons. For games you could use a C-like language like C++ or C#, maybe even Java. Web development is still using about the same languages as 10 years ago I think, so JavaScript, PHP, CSS, HTML, SQL and so on. You could also try one of the newer languages like Go. You could also create your own programming language like this guy did: https://code.sololearn.com/WcSO91zhXcqR/?ref=app

For web development, you should choose JavaScript. it's getting more and more powerful with large programmers community and libraries. Recent research also shows that JavaScript is the prefer language in machine learning and IOT.

Thanks for your time to answer my question. I'm really beginning to like this community. :) Yes, the question I asked is pretty vague. But trust me, I'm planning my future now. So I appreciate it. Be well!
