Python is easy and can do a lot of things. It's not a perfect programming language (It's pretty slow), but it's easy and useful.

I guess it depends on the purpose we are looking for. But as prons its a language that can be used enormous situations. Web scraping, sites, lowlevel network programming, socket programming, analysis and many more. Specially for data analysis. Could be very useful.

Python is easier for beginners. It's more easy to learn the basics with it. But it's not necessary to start with it. The idea is to learn how to code and how to think algorithmic. That takes time of writing a lot of code. The language doesn't matters really at this stage.
