Java or C++(For making games)

Question

I want to become a game-programmer, i learned JS (because it's easier than the object-oriented languages) and now i started learning Java. But some days ago, I have heared that C++ is better for making games. What to do? I already started Java, and I like it. To give up with Java and to start learning C++ or continue with Java? (I already have a big and beautiful book about Java)

You can create great games with Java as well (Minecraft for example). Though it is true that C++ is rather used in many game engines, now it is up to you to choose one.
