Is it possible to create an AI by only using python?

I just started to learn python(first ever language, 3 lessons to finish the basics).I am hoping to create a self learning ai using python.Is it possible if I got the skills?Thank you.(No professional purpose.For self satisfaction/ hobby purposes only.)
