How to write short and concise code.

I sometimes find my self writing long and boring blocks of code for a simple problems even while using OOP . . .

I find having a plan is helpful, but stopping and checking if anything could be simpler is even more so for code consiseness. After you're done coding the main part, try looking over it and see if you could make anything more concise.
