if a product is being made for a human, there will always be a need for human input. maybe not as much but that's the foreseeable future I imagine

during 1930-40 people were as worried as they are today as rise in use of machines could take their job, but that never happened.
we are still very far from general intelligence. It's really unlikely that it will take jobs.

From my point of view, it's downside is high when compared to it's advantage. A computer will work 100% according to it's instruction, has no emotion. For example you give instruction to an automated taxi to take you to the airport fast, it might take you in time but might break some traffic laws and attract police helicopters.
