Well, since you got me here, you have to hear my thoughts on this cuz I'm going to say it anyways. I won't apologize because I (or anyone) didn't do it, but my heart certainly goes out to you and your family with this.

Clearly, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and you're focused upon the right things. Don't lose that bro, especially with the storms that are still to come. I'm happy that you're able to recognize the value of this Christmas, birthday, holiday, etc... - the time that you have remaining with her that you won't be able to get back later. Don't take that time for granted, and spend as much of your free time as you can with her so you don't regret it later and are able to make as many lasting memories are you can right now. As you said yourself, mothers have a certain type of love for her children that NO other person in the world will ever have. A father may love his children also, but a mother's love is on a whole other level.

Continue to stay positive, even with what's to come. For myself, I try to think about it like this; if they're looking down upon me, are they smiling at my life or are they crying? Would they want to see me sad or destroyed because of them, or would they want to see me thrive and become more in their honor? Never forget and don't taint your good memories with your sorrow or your memories will always become a source of suffering for you rather than a source that propels you further in life.

I'm not going to go into the story of my own life, but I'm saying all of this to you because I don't want you to get stuck in the dark place that can consume you. I was stuck in that place for a large portion of my life, and one can only walk through hell for so long until they either yearn for the light or become consumed by the darkness. You're obviously a strong person already, and I hope you find the strength to remain that way. Always remember that we're suppose to honor our parents, even when they're no longer with us. Make them proud as they watch your progress.

As of last night I found out that one of my mom's tumors has shrunk considerably and the other they believe they can remove next Wednesday!!
