I prefer application/desktop development over web development. However, I prefer PHP over Python. If it were myself, I'd personally focus on Javascript and NodeJS.

NodeJS is nothing less than amazing, imo. So much can be done with it, it utilizes your knowledge of JS, and it's really quick/efficient for all of the stuff that I use it for. In terms of performance, I've gotten much more out of NodeJS than I ever did with PHP. With that being said though, I don't hate PHP either, and it's nice to know it when I'm working on teams that are using it.
JavaScript, NodeJS, jQuery, AngularJS, and React are the main things that I've worked with that's related back to JavaScript. Something I'd recommend.

Personally, I don't like Python. However, what are you working on and what's your goals? I'd base what I currently learn on what I'll be needing the most sooner than later.
