Any reason why java is so basic on here?
The idea was to learn java so i can create a program i designed 4 months ago but i feel abit lost now as i have learned more then the app can offer but i know nothing about its GUI. i tried out the beta in the hope that sololearn may have added somthing new for java as so many users ask about this but theres nothing. Im just curious why a GUI cant run on mobile and why sololearn dosent support a IDE for java. thanks

Because Solo learn isn't a good place to run.
Armina, Yeva and team can't make an IDE as good as the developers of Eclipse.
Just Eclipse your Java codes if they are complex

hmm... if decoder can do a mobile IDE surely sololearn can?

Technically speaking, Sololearn is for beginners. There is no need for advanced features for a beginner. That being said, a larger library is always welcome to convenience. However, there is only so much Sololearn can offer (or should), since the libraries, and compilers are server-side. So graphical interface libraries would be an example of something that would be more trouble than they're worth, even though a few of us wouldn't mind.
Like others have mentioned, there are professional IDE's that are better suited. I personally use IDEA from Jetbrains. Of course, eclipse remains a favorite for most people, but I dislike it personally. Notepad++ can also be configured for java too. :)

Because the purpose of this application is to teach the basics.
