Maths is somewhat responsible for everything, but that's debatable.
Your computer needs to use electricity to run, the electricity has to be used for something!
So, complex problems are what we provide these machines in order to make use of the energy we're providing.
When we program fruit-adders or people-counters, we *are* using math, a very simplistic math.
I mean, everything that builds the computer software-wise is all electricity being held by basic electromagnetic domains on a disk. And electricity has two states of flow: running or stopped - basically Ones and Zeroes - 1 / 0.
Math is somewhat the premise of everything, but that's debatable.
