"As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc." [https://docs.kali.org/introduction/should-i-use-kali-linux] as the developer above stated kali linux is not a everyday distro... so if you are unfamillier with hacking and linux i recommend using a other distro and read some books on hacking. Also learn python since most of the exploits nowadays are written in it. Kali is a distro full of tools which are good for hacking that does not mean you cant use these tools on other distros (even on windows and mac).

Lol classic beginner who wants to become a hacker. My question to you is, do you know any programming languages fully? If no then you have no hope in help in becoming a "hacker". Hackers or crackers as they are more commonly known are programmers. People who understand how things work and how to stress and pen test for better security. Kali looks cool because of all the tools on offer but if you cannot even understand linux then you have no chance of learning this stuff. Unless you want to sit on youtube for hours following someone crappy tutorial about cracking WPA. Use http://linuxcommand.org/ to get a basic understanding of linux.
