The X at XHTML stands for Extended HTML , where the Basic HTML markup language received an update to include additional functionality. The only explanation I can give you is to look at the HTML and the HTML5 also know as XHTML if you look at the basic HTML COURSE here at SoloLearn you will get the basis of the markup language. If you finish the HTML it will automatically switch you to extra blocks of the course to include the HTML5 version. I am not a Web programmer and have recently only a small interest in this matter, however I did finish the course completely. That's all I can tell you. Perhaps someone else could elaborate you a little more, or you could search for additional information on the web.

@Manoj : Have fun and good luck, it is a nice tool, but keep in mind to make full use op Web designs you will be looking to study CSS and Javascript too and not to forget PHP.
