For Mentors
Just out of interest, how much time did it take you to become a mentor? What do you think about being a mentor? Is it easy/hard to help others?

Everyone spends as much or as little time "mentoring", as they like or as they can afford. For me, the main motivation is solidifying and improving my own knowledge too. I am good at researching and understanding new concept, and I enjoy helping those who have a harder time putting the pieces together.
It is just a little discouraging when there are no substantial questions around, mostly spam and homework exploiters... But there are moments when my efforts prove really valuable to the other person, and I am able to contribute to their learning, even if just in a small insignificant way.

Lamron I've been an untitled mentor & titled mentor for over 5 years on sololearn. It's actually quite a responsibility as others consider your time and experience extremely valuable. I can only speak for myself and say it's fairly easy but there are times which are considerably harder. I enjoy helping out passionate new and older users whom really have a definite interest in pursuing a career.

CodeBabe mentorship is an honorary title deserved over a period of time, for continued work done for the community. Even if not all mentors hang around 24/7 every one of us is an esteemed member of Sololearn. There can be circumstances in everyone's life like studies, work, family, sickness, or even boredom, which keep them away from Sololearn, but they may gravitate back at some point. And everyone's style for socializing could be different. Someone enjoys doing challenges, or writing very educative codes or feed posts, and may be less active on the forum but more active in code comments or in DM chat groups. So you can't judge by just one dimension.
