Which language for gaming?

Question

So i have now learned more than the half of python, but then i learned it isn't used for making bigger games, but used in general instead.
Lets say, i want to make a game, a story game with interactions that effect the story, a map where you see yourself walking. Being able to interact things, you know. I will learn C++ too
