Usman Shinwari🦂, faulty DMs has been an issue for many players and for me for almost 3 years now. There's no doubt, it's a bug. The worst thing is, that this problem goes away and comes back on its own from time to time.

To be honest, I don't expect this problem to solved any time soon. The platform is too big and the huge number of various client devices doesn't help to narrow down the culprit. Who knows, maybe dev team just has other priorities 😞.

I tried Rik Wittkopp's solution a couple years ago. It works absolutely fine (with the ones you can mention) and I definitely approve it 👍👍!

One more common mistake thing 👇:

Don't let "NO CONNECTION" notification fool you. This is nothing but a standard error message. In general, this means, SL failed to connect to the nearest server or failed to receive a response within reasonable time. Otherwise the app would hang, crash and BURN... Okay, the last one is a joke 😀😀😂.

Your connection is probably fine 99% of time. Just ignore the pop up. Think like a real dev, at leat pretend 😉.

Another possible solution — using some Android emulator.

If you use a Windows PC or a Mac, you can try BlueStacks. This program gracefully "pretends" to be a generic phone, compatible with many Android apps. You can also chose a particular make and model to suit your needs.

Anbox and Waydroid run on Linux distros. Wayland only runs on Wayland display server protocol obviously ☺.

Sometimes when I can't DM a friend, I write a private code and mention them in the comments with my message.

It is not as private as DMing, but you can reach them

I've found that removing the http & www from any Web address seems to send better than if I include a whole Web address.
