Why is python so popular?

Is it able to be written much faster than most other languages or something?

Python is so popular because it's pretty much easy to learn, and it has many helpful libraries just to get things done very quickly comparing to do it with any other language, that's why so many people love this language because Python make their life easier.

But, in terms of performance Python really slow compare to other languages like c or c++, especially in a quite complex project.
