Artificial Intelligence Course Vs Networking Course for Degree?

I am filling application for my degree. I am wondering which one is better for my 1st choice. Either AI or Computer Networking.

In the Internet, people say that "if you are good at hand, go to Networking" and "if you are good at math, go to AI". How far those statements are true?

In the context of job opportunities, which one is better🤔 among those two courses?

AI is a whole lot of math. Especially statistics and information theory. Even some natural language processing is common. Then there are all this complicated algorithms. I did take two AI/ML courses myself. Regretted it pretty fast. Even though I finished them. My background is in ICT engineering.

The point is. You don't need a whole degree to just use and apply AI/ML. If you want to invest yourself to a career in AI/ML, then you will have to embrace the pain and go the extra step.

The AI/ML job market is very competitive. As the jobs have very high expectations and the services aren't always required. It's not like you are making models everyday. It's common to just hire a consultant for a task.

But every company needs a working network.

However, a degree in AI/ML is more meaningful then a degree in Computer Networking. Just because the knowledge required for Computer Networking is way easier to acquire even without a degree.

Muhd Khairul Amirin AI has nothing to do with digital forensics at this point. Unless you become a researcher and develop a completely new solutions. It won't help you.

At least Computer Networking would involve network security. Neither will give you what you want. But Computer Networking is closer.

Muhd Khairul Amirin We didn't learn any language. It's not a programming course. We barely learned how to use tensorflow (Python library). Most of it was theoretical.
