Which language for Web you prefer and why
Php and which framework

Asp.net and which version and what about core

PHP is a Programming Language. But ASP.NET is not. Its a Web Framework. C# is used in ASP.NET

Both are server side scripting languages. PHP is free and cross platform scripting language with wide range of Web server OS . On the other hand ASP.Net is proprietary Microsoft paid technology mostly supported by Microsoft OS based Web servers only

I believe now ASP.NET MVC Core is cross platform as well
