Anthony Perez I agree. I've always considered myself smart, but I feel like programming has improved my brain even more. The cognitive thinking required to learn programming challenges your brain in a way nothing else can. After you learn a language, now you have 200 quadrillion more things to learn in that language, such as specific ways to do certain things. My biggest challenge to date was creating a message system for my social network site. When I while looped the messages between 2 users, it also while looped their names. So if there was 20 messages for one person and 12 for the other, it would while loop both names 32 times each. My problem was improper use of JOIN statements. However, that was 6 years ago. I learned a lot since then.
