Understanding the logic of coding can be a little difficult at first, so what I would suggest is to try and practice the material as you go along with the course. Try taking your time with learning the language, and practicing what you have just learned in a certain lesson or section in a code, to really get a hang of it. It could also be helpful to look at other people's codes that involve what is in the course, so you could maybe see how it can be used and what it may look like when used in a code.
