[OFF-TOPIC] How many of you find coding therapeutic? Are you ever 'in the zone'?
Therapeutic, as in relaxing, calming and an activity that you look forward to. I've always found that coding helps me get into flow more than any other activity.

It depends, there are days where I see code and immediately I think that I should have stayed asleep. And there are others where I am quite productive.
To a large extent it depends on my environment. If there is enough tranquility or I have music that is good with my humor I have no problems (lately this translates into many artists like Elton John or bands like Explosions in the Sky), otherwise I get annoyed or I get too restless to be able to work.

It depends for me. Sometimes it is very frustrating, but other times you just flow through it. I enjoy coding, but I donāt know about therapeutic.

I don't know if I will say therapeutic but I can spend all day every day coding. I have done it before for months on end... I enjoy it way too much even when I get bugs that it takes me hours to find. The feeling when everything finally works right is just unique!

Iād say it scratches a certain mental āitchā that nothing else can scratch. My brain is constantly going at full speed (anxiety disorder) but I love science and information in general.
Above anything I Love love LOVE logic. I donāt know what it is about it, but Iām obsessed with logical expressions/and using pure reasoning to come to valid (and sometimes predictive) conclusions. Pointing out logical flaws in arguments is like my hobby
I find programming to be the total essence of my ālogic fetishā šš itās therapeutic because it will tire my brain out in a great way.
Think about it like a good workout- youāre sore everywhere but in a good, healthy way š
