Am I doomed!?
Iām an Electronic Engineer with aĀ solid backgroundĀ of Digital Design, Electronic Circuits and Embedded Systems Fundamentalās. Iāve also a fairly complete acquaintance about C programming, Assembly Language, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and somewhat Computer Networks. I want to be a Programmer without anyĀ practical experience; is there a chance for me? How much time is needed? Iām also afraid of wasting my timeĀ without achieving the desired result.Ā I do not know whereās going to this route......

I don't know why you feel so restless about yourself, being well with C, Assembly, embedded systems, O/S and networking, to me it sounds really good, I wish I knew what you do.
No worries though, I believe with your skills you can look into IOT development, I myself am interested in that field, but am lacking such skills you possessed. With today's growing trend for interconnected appliances I believe your skills will be worth pretty good.
Oh, and @Oma Falk's suggestion is worth considering too (embedded).
Best of luck : )

Everyone starts with 0 experience. There is of course 100% chanse for you. Take a look at this thread. It will help you choose programming language based on what you want to develop.

@H.Ahmadian, you're welcome, you already have the foundation, moral support is the least to be given, you deserve it, it is the uniqueness of SoloLearn Community.
If you could have some spare time, I would be looking forward to see you write a thing or two about embedded systems, IOT, or just anything you feel like sharing later, here the best thing is to share knowledge, but do not feel obliged or pushed, let it come naturally : )
