How may I improve this code ?

Question

For understanding execution of this code step by step I added color printing in output, now I want to know in each step of total_SUM iteration it contains which numbers was added together, I mean receive this output:

"total_SUM is: 37 (18+19)" instead of "total_SUM is: 37" in all iterations of total_SUM
