Are JS and PHP related? I mean which one should I learn first?

PHP and JS are related in the sense that their both web development languages, but other than that their quite different in their purpose. JavaScript is used to write the front-end of websites while PHP powers the back end. And which one you should learn first depends on what you want to do. If you want to do front-end development then JS is vital. But if you want to do back-end, then PHP is the way to go.
