I thought because the smiley was a popular symbol for the acid house movement. I was less in the Punk Rock or Heavy Metal genre. My interests were in the beginning Techno, House and Hip-Hop. But then I moved more into Funk and Jazz. And today I do sometimes listen to EDM while driving at night on the autobahn.
