What are your overall goals in the short/long term? I wouldn't just randomly pick a language unless you have no goals or plans for the future beyond simply learning some programming languages. For example, if you're planning to use Java and go into mobile app development, then I'd focus on Java and worry about the others later. However, between the two, if you're asking which may be easier for a beginner to pick up, I'd say go with C# and then learn C++. Both are easy enough to learn, but C++ leaves more room for beginners to make critical mistakes. C# holds your hand with a lot of concepts, which can be good or bad depending upon the situation. In conclusion, pick whatever is going to compliment what you're wanting to focus on later. If you don't know what you want to do later, then go ahead and learn C# then C++.
