What language after python and why?

What language should I learn after python and why? Isn't python enough for all tasks? I am a Chemist not a programmer, I have an intermediate level experties in python along with kivy.

Probably Python is enough for chemistry. Unless youā€™re using LAMMPS and want to learn C++ in order to better understand how it works, or something like that.

Have you tried different python libraries? I suggest matplotlib, since as a chemist you may benefit of some good plotting of data from a research of yours, for example. http://www.matplotlib.org
