which language should I learn python or java ?

i am a cs student and i already know c,c++

Python, it should feel like going back to basics, but it has a lot of advantages.

Java is very similar to cs, if you want something new learn python .

Why not trying both? Each of them is usually used for a bit different purposes

Learn on your logic building skills. Choose any language you are comfortable with and work on the logic building skills. Once you learn the logical thinking, all the different programming languages are just change in syntax with its own new features. Java is dynamic and would easier for a beginner, or else you can go for C# .Net it is a strongly typed language and has a variety of string functions which are really useful learning.
