I think it is possible. You have to work and exercise coding as long as you need to become good enough to be able to solve the problems u have to tackle in your job. Usually those with passion invest their free time in that activity while those without don't. I think that's the biggest difference between them.

You can do anything you want without love for it, but YMMV depending on how long you can keep at it, especially with something that requires you to sit for long periods, think hard and solve huge problems all the time. You may burn out.

Agree with Bennett. Burnout in the making. Been there before in my previous career working on cars. Tolerating anything only lasts so long before youā€™re miserable. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, but if you have a choice, choose wisely. Iā€™d say a coder who hates coding might want less development and more design in their work. Or, better yet, find their true passion and make that pay the bills šŸ™‚

If you work hard to learn it, it doesn't matter if you love it or not. But I think it's better when you love it, because you'll feel that you're doing a hobby not a job.

Your brain clicks because you love/enjoy at what you are doing, but If you don't have the fire desire in you...after a while ?? Ya know, the F#%@M $%#, but people are different. It may works for you. As long as you are happy, JUST DO IT !!
