What is the common language needed in every company guys??

I guess it depends on the country where you live. But English is a common language in IT.

English, lol, Dnyl +1!!! Seriously shell (Bash being most popular) or Python. They let you whip up scripts quickly for internals. Knowing both would really help.

There really isn't one common programming language for every company. This is why programmers (and software engineers) have worked with multiple languages. It also depends on whether you want to create software for web, mobile, desktop, etc. My advice is to narrow down what type of software you want to work in, then pick a popular language in that area, and learn programming fundamentals, algorithms and data structures (if applicable) using that language. You can always learn a new "syntax" but will always have this knowledge to use no matter which language you are asked to do it with.
