How long will it take

Guys, I just have started learning java and facing too much problems as it is my first programing language. This is a huge course and I am confused of estimating the time required to learn this language properly for making cool apps for pc as well as for android devices. Can anyone please tell me how long I should wait until I can build app?

I don't know if it's right to compare you to me but after learning programming logic practising with C# i've found it much easier to pick up literally any programming language, even though learning basics of a language takes a relatively short time, there's no telling how long it can take to be completely comfortable using it. it could take some few weeks or months for some people and it could take years for others. i've been using C# for close to six months now and i still consider myself an amateur

People learn at different speeds its difficult to estimate when you will be ready. I think it took me about 2 weeks before i started making programs and i started from scratch i knew nothing about programming. But even after 212 days of learning i still dont feel ready to build apps so i guess its somthing that takes time ā˜ŗ

You should learn Python 1st.. because it easier than all language. Once you finish Python than you will able to learn java or other languages early.
