In a class of 35 students, the number of girls is two-fifth of the number of boys. Find the number of girls in the class.

7/5*x = 35
7x = 175
x = 25 , ther are 25 boys
girls = 35-25 or 25*2/5 = 10.

7/2*x=35
7*x=70
x=10

b+g=35
=>2b+2g=70
g=0.4b
=>2b-5g=0

=>7g=70
=>g=10.
