Simulation Argument aka Sim Hypothosis

What do you think about this argument? Based on 2 premises: 1-Is that consciousness can be simulated in a computer, with logic gates standing in for the brain's synapses and neurotransmitters. 2-The second is that advanced civilizations will have access to truly stupendous amounts of computing power.  https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/are-we-living-in-a-computer-simulation/ Inspired by @NimWig's post. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/375561/?ref=app
