Big data refers to organising, storing, acessing, etc very large volumes of data (afaiu it, its more about scaling) and data science is about actual data analysis.

Different but correlative. Big Data = large (raw) datasets. Data Science = analysis, interpretation, and visualization of (big) (raw) datasets.
