What do you think about the future of development with all this AI that keeps evolving?

More or less the same... if people can't figure out how to exist alongside it and gain benefits from being able to do all the HUMAN things, like searching for questions similar to this one, then they didn't have much of a chance either way.

As a web developer I think things will remain much the same. Ai can help us with certain tasks, but they're not as smart as we need them to be. All ai had done so far is speed up our development process.

Think back to the old days when you had to spend hours researching answers at the library. Things have gotten way easier since then! We've got web searches and coding tools that give us direct help and save us time. And then there's GPT - it can give you an instant answer but we still have to copy paste or type it out in our IDE. And there canvas that can set up an environment for us.
Theres agents that can edit code for us.
Now we're seeing voice-activated coding pop up everywhere. They call it vibe coding. It sounds cool, but I'm starting to think we're just trading one problem for another. All in all ai is simply an advancement in automation when it concern development. AI is great at doing repetitive tasks quickly, but it's not good at solving the tricky problems that require human thinking and experience.
