To create games do you need to use several different coding languages?

it depends on the game you would like to build....

for games running in web browser only, you need html, css, javascript

for some small games, for instance: python (with pygame library)
but you can create a small game in rust as well

games using unity -> c#
games using unrealengine -> c++

and to store data in a database if you need, then sql as well
