In addition to this beatufil page, I would like to add that, besides the things told in the page which are generally used in REAL life, you can even make contributions to science. For example you may even be able to mimic Early Earth's conditions and find the origin of life. You may try proving whether would there be any silicon-based life by mimicing such conditions that might lead silicon-based life to emerge.
