How does the "%" works? I havent learn this math operation before, can someone tell me what is this?

This operator divides the numbers and returns the remainder. For example:
46 % 10 = ?
46 / 10 is 4 remainder 6.
%, instead of returning the division, returns the remainder.

Note: This is mainly a programming operator. You won't encounter it much in real life.
