Hi guys Can you tell me why can’t I access sololearn.com in private/incognito mode on my computer? Tested on Windows 10 and Linux mint

Though I don't believe cache/cookies are supposed to matter in incognito, this thread solved a similar case by clearing them: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1198892 Since it affects two installs, the above may not have a clear reason, so... Addons can also be an issue. I use an addon that occasionally corrupts my cookies, making sites unavailable until I zap them. ...but I'm just guessing. If our answers don't help you, please let SoloLearn know via Feedback or info@sololearn.com.

re: "[update]...PS. maybe something’s wrong with dns hmmm..." It seems iffy (because you're not getting any content), but: checking for ISP DNS hijacking: https://superuser.com/questions/250008/how-can-i-tell-if-my-isp-is-redirecting-my-dns-queries/1348765#1348765 If you find DNS interception at the ISP, you can find any relevant "why this is bad" discussion online and send that to them. Some ISPs give you a per-account opt-out, often on their interception pages.

thank you guys for the interest I log in to my router it’s up to date but I’ve made a reset and it works fine on: windows 8.1 windows 10 linux mint iOS Today before that the issue occured only on firefox (chromium and opera were ok even in incognito) yesterday only on linux and firefox on windows 10 in private mode🤔 I hope that my ISP is not making MITM😳 it’s a small local (I know where they are - it’s my neighborhood) provider and I (still?) like it I’ll check it thanks again

thanks anyway PS. I’ve restarted my router and iPhone app works again on wifi but win/lin still down PS. Now when I know that it is not happening to everybody I’ll check dns and contact to my ISP I thought that maybe it was some kind of „it’s not a bug it’s a feature” 😂

Hope vpn works out for you😀👍, but it not solving your issue. if not: Idea #2 Mainly you can check for All 65535 ports🙉! if there is an infection or MITM they always need a open port to connect with, compare it with port-forward. private ports(49xxx to 65535) and global ports(1 to 49xxx). If there are ports open that do not associate with your apps or computer then ill suggest you monitor that port activity to figure out the connections and what ip is associated with from there you can scope it, block it or close the port to get rid of your issue. If not, Burn new OS image😐😐

Hi Krystian, What is the output of your browser? whitescreen? Can you be more clear on that? In case of JS: FireFox is not enabling JavaScipt in incognito mode. SoloLearn need JavaScript to execute.

I don't have any problem accessing SoloLearn on Chrome with KDE, so yeah, more information would be helpful.

[update] I tried different browsers and systems and now I think that this may be an ISP issue because: when I reach sololearn.com on linux mint (cinnammon) and firefox in private mode on windows 10 it says that site (address) can’t be reached AND when I use sololearn app on my iPhone and I use my wifi on it it says „no connection” and there is „try again” button but when I switch to my mobile Internet connection it works fine (but iPhone issue is happening only from time to time) Thanks for your answers PS. maybe something’s wrong with dns hmmm...

That's possible. I also suspect the ISP can be an issue for me at times. (Yay for net non-neutrality! /sarcasm...)

Oh, yeah. It really gets under my skin when tech support folks say such things. (If you want to keep getting paid, stay human. Robots don't need the income.)

Krystian, Dont disclose a MITM attack or attempt. What ports are open on your win/lin ? had it also few weeks ago, I suggest you check for MITM activity first( wireshark or other monitor app) before you contact your ISP.

That could be the worst, but do not expect it. yeah it could be an pain in the *** if you facing those issues. I had to burn new images for 3 android phones, 2 laptops, 1 mac and 1 iphone😔😔 few weeks ago.. was part of a botnet (AVs didnt detect☹) lost $225 in BTC😭 It took me few hours to clean it cause I burned every devices OS at the same time offline, even the router has a new OS😀

(reassure) $225 < 225BTC (/reassure) 😬 PS Router’s firmware and other stuff is up to date I’m really paranoid if you know what I mean😜 But yes - I’ll check it I don’t have any BTC but I don’t want to be part of botnet as well! cheers!
