I used Delphi in my first job and I loved it
but as @root mentioned I also couldn't find a job in Delphi

One of my previous roles had a Delphi based application so I had the fun of maintaining, but I find there isn't many jobs in Delphi. Learning Delphi did not take long to pick up.
