BASIC

Question

Who here knows how to program with BASIC (Beginners All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code)
It is a language that SoloLearn doesn't teach, it is taught in many schools including mine.

Apparently learning it makes it easier to learn all/most of the other languages

Still? I thought it dead and decomposed. It's not used in production anywhere. Why teach it in school?

Not to demotivate you, but that is obviously bogus. Of course every language after the first becomes easier. That's how learning works. It's like learning Latin to better learn Spanish later. If your goal is learning Spanish, learn Spanish. These are arguments made by people who have no real arguments. Instead: Learn Latin. Reading people who have been dead for 2000y is rad.
So learn Basic, you'll understand some programming jokes you wouldn't otherwise. :)
