Your colour settings should be made in your stylesheet not in your html document. This way we separate the content of the document (html) from the styling (css). Why do we study html? Without the html there would be nothing to apply a style to. CSS colours are specified using three number groups - red, green and blue. The numbers can be in hexidecimal or decimal formats. e.g. #FF0000 = rgb(255, 0, 0) = red #00FF00 = rgb(0, 255, 0) = green #0000FF = rgb(0, 0, 255) = blue The range of values for each colour component is 0 to 255 decimal, or 00 to FF hexadecimal. This gives us over 16 million colours to choose from so why would you want more colours? For a more in-depth look at CSS colours see
