I think you could use python in blender to modify the objects in your scene, I saw a video on YouTube somewhere, some guy used this method

Yes, you can. Python is used for scripting in Blender's game engine, creating plugins and controlling most functionally of Blender through the Python/Blender API. It's especially useful for programmatically creating animatics, modal dialogs and much more.
